Uncover our story
Raising three boys—each with their own distinct personalities and learning styles—has given me a deep insight into both the challenges and the joys of parenting. It was my middle son's diagnosis of dyslexia that truly shaped the course of my professional journey. Supporting him through his educational experiences opened my eyes to the gaps in understanding and provision for children with additional needs—and inspired me to take action.
Motivated not only by my own family's experience but by a desire to help others navigate similar challenges, I set out to make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodivergent children. Too often, their unique learning profiles are overlooked or misunderstood, leading to frustration, low confidence and missed opportunities. I wanted to change that.
After qualifying as a SENDCo and working for several years as a Head of Academic Support, I went on to become a professional dyslexia assessor and completed a Masters degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Today, as a consultant, I work closely with children, families and schools by offering diagnostic assessments or qualitative observational reports, developing targeted support plans, delivering training to educators and organisations advising on best practices across all areas of SEND.
I bring a holistic and practical perspective to my work, combining lived experience with academic expertise. Whether it's carrying out diagnostic assessments, supporting staff with CPD or helping parents understand how best to support their child, my mantra has become “thrive through empowerment”.
I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of schools, students and families, and I never take for granted the trust they place in me. Watching students grow in confidence and reach their potential, often for the first time, is the most rewarding part of what I do.
If you're looking for personalised, professional support that has the needs of the child at its’ centre, I’d be delighted to work with you. Together, we can embrace difference and unlock potential, one step at a time.
