  • Schools and educational settings looking for staff training, SEND audits or external consultancy

  • Students who require tailored tutoring support, dyslexia assessments or exam preparation

How does the dyslexia assessment process work?

  • We begin with an initial telephone consultation to understand the child’s history, concerns and any prior assessments

  • Send questionnaires to both home and school

  • Administer a standardised battery of tests (reading, spelling, phonological awareness, working memory, processing speed, etc.)

  • Analyse results, write a diagnostic report with recommendations and strategies

  • Provide feedback to school / parents, and help implement or recommend accommodations (e.g., exam access arrangements)

Can you help with EHCPs or applications for school-based support?

Yes. Our support includes:

  • Reviewing existing EHCP drafts or plans

  • Checking legal compliance of the EHCP (making sure all needs are captured and matched with appropriate provisions)

  • Advice and representation at EHCP meetings / appeals

  • Guidance on school-based support and strategies without necessarily having an EHCP

What does a school observation / consultancy visit involve?

  • A visit to observe classroom practice, inclusion and SEND provision

  • Meetings with teachers, TAs and leadership (if required) to understand strengths and challenges

  • Review of SEND policies, registers and data

  • A written report with actionable recommendations, priority areas and an implementation plan

How long do your holiday / exam‑prep courses run?

  • Courses can be tailored to suit the group but typically run for 3 - 4 days depending on the content (ISEB, 11+)

  • Sessions combine small-group instruction, exam techniques and targeted practice

  • Timetable and structure are tailored to the needs and levels of participating students

  • There will not be more than 4 children in a group to maintain an individualised approach

What is your approach to in‑school tutoring?

  • We work in collaboration with school staff to align tutoring with the curriculum and the child’s needs

  • Sessions are tailored and evidence-based

  • Progress is monitored regularly and session plans are adapted in response to student progress

  • Meetings with form teachers can be arranged if required

How soon can we start once we’ve signed up?

  • That depends on current caseload and scheduling but we aim to begin within 2 weeks

  • For assessments or consultations, availability may vary, so early booking is recommended
